Sanderson Schoolwear was set-up in 2009 after Wards of Rayleigh went into administration in August 2009. There has been a Schoolwear shop on the site of Wards for over 80 years, formally known as Alexanders.

With one of our boys already at Sweyne Park and our second son about to start in September 2009, it was proving difficult to get the required uniform. Trying to find a local supplier of quality was proving hard work! making a couple of tentative enquiries, we have now found ourselves the proud owners of Sanderson Schoolwear on the original Schoolwear site to be.

We plan to move buying Schoolwear into the 21st century with a full on-line buying process and free delivery for orders over £100. We will have staff whose knowledge of their field is second to none. We will be working closely with all the schools to monitor quality of service, customer relations and quality of our products.

We also plan some competitions with schools to help us with our on-line catalogue/website. Together, possibly with youth training schemes for local students to introduce them into the world of retail business, we hope we can move forward with Sanderson Schoolwear and it becomes part of the local community and establishes itself as a purveyor of quality products and service at an affordable price and with a smile.
